I have a bad habit of going way over the top with prompts and likes, especially for short exchanges where the following might be serious overkill, but feel free to disregard any of the following prompts, follow your own dreams, or to mix and match prompts/elements as you desire.
Treat likes:
- domesticity scenes and material culture, even in less-than-domestic situations!
- mutual caretaking and h/c
- characters learning new skills or new things (about each other, their environment, their powers, etc.)
- monsters! werewolves, vampires, ghosts, revenants, mummies, etc.

A lot of these canons deal in some way with gnarly subject matter and I'm fine with any level of darkness or non-darkness with those canon elements. If there's a ship-specific prompt below but you're not feeling the ship, feel free to swap it out for another.

(I ship both Roderick and Caroline with Faraday, as well as Caroline/Brenda and either of them with OMCs/OFCs.)
- Something horror/supernatural during Roddie's RAF days or the aftermath of his recovery -- hauntings, unexplainable happenings, or the banal horrors of wartime
- Ditto Caroline and WWII-era horror -- I love her anecdote about how fire spreads from her Wrens days, and I'd love to see more of her wartime experiences, sinister or simply mysterious.
- Alternately, anything with Caroline's female friendships during the war -- explore her canonical friendships, cross her over with other WWII-era canons with cool women, or anything else you feel!
- Pre-canon Roderick and Caroline in a spooky-gothic-children phase -- I'd love anything that plays with tales-of-the-weird tropes around childhood and school days, or embracing the ambiguity of childhood mischief as with the supposed presence of Susan later
- I'd love anything dealing with these two and homosexuality/bisexuality -- either romances and better times, or torment and angst about the fall of Hundreds Hall and the doomed family line.

- Caroline besting Faraday and the titular stranger -- is there any way for Caroline (and maybe Roddie, too) to come out on top, even if it means a sticky end for Faraday?
Duchess of Malfi - John Webster
The Duchess, Ferdinand
(I ship these two with everyone, but in particular the Duchess/Antonio, either of them/Bosola, one-sided or noncon/dubcon Ferdinand/Duchess, and Ferdinand/the Cardinal.)
- Anything with the Duchess and Ferdinand pre-canon -- when the Duchess was busy getting married off to an older man, what was Ferdinand doing? What were their lives like when their parents were alive?
- Alternately, anything dealing with the fallout of the siblings being orphaned
- Was there ever a chance of Ferdinand being married off? How would he face that prospect? Feel free to play this for drama/angst/horror or for fucked-up family comedy or anything in between.
- Any kind of historical/regional/genre AU that transposes the Duchess' familial bind onto a new backdrop. A modern corporate-inheritance-drama AU a la Succession? A 1940s-style film noir/women's picture AU?
- More about Ferdinand's madness -- a less metaphorical transformation, or a meditation on melancholy. I love the weird Early Modern scientific understanding of mental illness and melancholy, so you can really go to town here.
- Crossover with any other Early Modern drama -- I'm an especially big fan of Revenge's Tragedy, Tis Pity She's A Whore, Othello, Hamlet, and Shakespeare's Histories, but if you want to write the Duchess escaping to the Forest of Arden or Ferdinand getting dunked on by Faustus, go wild.
- An AU where Ferdinand and the Duchess being twins shakes out differently -- mistaken identities, mischievous crossdressing, doppelgangers?
- Art of the Duchess drawing on Renaissance portraiture or Early Modern woodcuts

AMC The Terror
Cornelius Hickey
(I ship Hickey with any other dude, but especially Hickey/Crozier, Hickey/Gibson, Hickey/Tozer, and Hickey/Goodsir.)
- Art of Hickey in his idea of natty civilian dress -- his Carnivale outfit, his civilian clothes when he first shows up on Terror, or a really nice suit (for given parameters of "nice"... if you choose to embrace the occasional silliness of 1840s-1850s menswear, run wild!)
- Art of genderswapped always-a-girl Hickey -- pulling a Handsome Cabin Boy, in an 1840s women's prison AU, or generally cutting a semi-feral figure in skirts (or not!)
- HMS Terror has a vampire problem; Cornelius Hickey investigates. Or really anything with Hickey vs. supernatural horrors he can't try to court and finesse like he does the Tuunbaq… though that might not stop him from trying.
- 1840s medical horror -- resurrection men, dubious medical specimens, Hickey as a body-snatcher, or anything with cut-up bodies.
- Hickey hookerfic! Pre-canon or AU -- I especially love the ins and outs of 19th century sex work, but if you'd like to write an AU with him hustling his way through the modern day (or another era entirely) I would love that.
- Any more supernatural/paranormal horror goodness -- Hickey getting soulbonded to the tuunbaq, haunted by ghosts, harried by revenants, or what-have-you.

I'd love something with Hickey feeding someone else human flesh for pragmatic and caring reasons (Goodsir, Crozier, Gibson, Tozer…) or an AU where Hickey isn't the one who tips the party over into cannibalism and he's in a more awkward position as a follower.
- Fucked-up sex pollen -- from Adam Nagaitis' remarks about Hickey not drinking alcohol, he seems like he really values keeping a clear head, so feel free to get him all messed up and strip that self control away.
- Hickey body horror -- bodily deterioration from exposure and scurvy, symbolic guro, partial shapeshifting, wounds reopening, or all around nasty bodily whump
- AU where they succeed in making it to warmer climes -- Hickey (and Gibson?) enjoying their liberty together with sun and sand, or getting up to Herman Melville-flavored fuckery
- Any kind of intimacy and feelings-catching between Hickey and Gibson or another noncanonical partner (Crozier, Tozer, Goodsir, Irving, Collins?) -- I'd especially love Hickey being sort of at sea with his own more tender impulses despite himself, or trying to learn more about his lover without revealing his own secrets.

(I ship Chris/Rod like crazy but am down for gen.)
- Rod and Chris vs. body-snatchers, George Romero-style zombies, The Hunger-style vampires, or any other highly metaphorical horror movie baddies. I love '70s and '80s horror, with all its fucked-up quirks and social attitudes (if you haven't seen Horror Noire on Shudder, it's amazing and features Jordan Peele!) and would love to see these two taking a jaunt across the genre.
- True crime/paranormal podcast host AU -- Chris brings the facts, Rod brings the research and the never-ending commentary. They can be trying to get the word out about the Armitages using a nontraditional medium (investigative journalists, go go go!) or just dishing about much lower stakes strangeness in an AU.
- Rod and/or Chris have to fight their own doppelganger, Us-style -- it can be a full AU, or the events of Us taking place in parallel to the events of Get Out after a few years have passed.
- Highly symbolic Halloween costumes, with optional "cursed to become one with your costume" shenanigans.
- Genderswaps!!!!! Art or fic, I want 'em, especially if Rod stays chunky and butchy. Bonus points if they're dual dog-moms to Chris' pup.
- Art in the style of snapshots or cell phone camera snaps -- sexy, funny, tender, bromantic forever, or creepy.
- Art in the style of a gothic romance cover -- gimme Chris running away from a spooky old house with a single light in the window!
