S1-era rape by deception — obviously there's a whole lot of things Will would never have done if he knew Hannibal was the Chesapeake Ripper from the jump, but I'd love a fic that just luxuriates in the betrayal (and maybe the dramatic irony) of Will being lied to in really intimate ways and Hannibal allowing himself to be seen as a benevolent bringer of pleasure. (For another angle, maybe Hannibal lets Will think he's the one taking the lead during that time — whether that's letting Will think he's the one initiating sex or letting Will top, Will being the one to reassure Hannibal when he voices his supposed moral qualms…)

Hannibal nonconning Will while treating it like it's just a normal sexual encounter — overcoming Will's physical resistance and his emotional distress as if he's doing him a favor. (As a friend or as a therapist? Yes.) Will can be skeptical and incredulous, angry and resigned, guilty and half-convinced this really is what he wants or what he deserves for his failings… I just love Hannibal massaging Will into something deeply self-serving while professing it's for Will's own good, whether or not he really believes it at that moment.

I'd be interested in Will having to engage with Hannibal like usual after an assault (or multiple assaults) that Hannibal won't acknowledge, or won't acknowledge to be nonconsensual — I really enjoy stuff that explores Hannibal's ability to block out or turn away from unpleasant realities, by justifying them to himself or by the sheer power of denial, and I'd love to see that complicate Hannibal's developing understanding of his own feelings for Will. Feel free to set this at any point in their relationship but I could see this working in the post-s1 era, or something set post-s3 while they're on the run or against a backdrop of seeming domesticity. S3 era noncon where they've got all that history together and some degree of mutually-acknowledged feelings, but their sexual relationship is the opposite of an emotionally fulfilling tender consummation by mutual consent, is great.

Wrt the Drugs/Alcohol/Roofies tag, I'd love anything incorporating all that canonical drugging. I'd also love Hannibal having sex with Will when Will's too drunk to meaningfully consent. There is a lot of liquor in Will's house for a guy who lives alone, and he's visibly pretty loaded in canon when he hooks up with Margot — I'd enjoy seeing something with Will using alcohol as a way to manage his nerves and overcome his own resistance, and Hannibal taking that all the way to the bank, even if he finds it distasteful on many levels.

Will doesn't need to triumph in some way or extricate himself from his murderous thing with Hannibal, but I love stuff where he gets to resist (emotionally, not necessarily physically, but physically is also cool) and Hannibal contends with that.

Fandom-specific DNWs: Hannibal calling Will "William"; explicitly stating Will has never experienced attraction to any other man before; focus on Word Of God season 4 plotlines or revenge on Alana/Bedelia/Margot. I love the way Payne just crashes right into Jay’s tenuous partnership with Silas and raises the stakes massively, and I love what a manipulative bastard he is, so I have a simple need for bad stuff happening to Jay. Jay’s bravery and curiosity are super endearing and he’s already a lot more experienced in the ways of the world by the midpoint of the film than when it began, but I’d love to see him suffer in ways that strain the boundaries of his worldview and inexperience.

Maybe something where it’s Payne’s gang who scoop up Jay, either before he meets Silas or after he ditches him and gets fleeced by Werner — I love Payne’s combination of sleazy affability and menace, and his interactions with Silas suggest he’s not incapable of playing a mentor role when it suits him — or in the woods scene where he’s gotten Jay and Silas both completely wasted, hurting Jay in order to twist Silas’ arm or to cut out the middleman and force Jay to help the gang locate the Ross family. Or just for fun/all of the above — one-and-done noncon, a whole coercive relationship with Jay as his prisoner/protege/underage kept boy dragged all over the American West, something in between?

On the flipside, for all that Payne can be abundantly ruthless and bloodthirsty (the way he blurs the line between nominally on the side of the law — a bounty hunter in a lawless country, here to take in a couple of murderers — and totally lawless is a lot of fun for me) I'd love to see him getting hamstrung by developing feelings of some kind for this kid he's been viciously mistreating and getting himself nowhere.

This is one pairing I feel goes great with spontaneous noncon spanking or other forms of impact play/corporal punishment with connotations of boyhood discipline, even if the beating itself is quite nasty. Jay's in flight from his past as a well-bred young gentleman and I'd love to see Payne getting a little perverse with that. Physical violence in general is welcome here, there's something about Jay's fresh-faced youthful bravery that lends itself to suffering.

(I’m ok with any and all additional ships, including consensual relationships in a rape-recovery/aftermath context — I love Silas/Payne both pre-canon and canon-era, and I like Jay/Silas as well with lots of great guilt potential.)

One thing I really love about this novel is the way Sander in his deeply deranged way comes to care for Jolanda and to be repulsed by Jan's willingness to manipulate her using sex — he's capable of recognizing her vulnerability in a way he can't really grasp the idea with regard to his own boyhood. (Most of my tags and prompts this year are pretty oriented toward the event itself and not aftermath but I'd love some fucked-up emotional aftermath and cautious shared recovery for the two of them too.)

Jolanda has had to fight tooth and nail to get by but she's still not used to Jan's level of twisted calculation. I'd love to see Jan using what he knows about both of these two to hurt them as much as possible, or at least as much as is necessary for him to achieve a given goal — getting back at them for their perceived betrayal or for anything else. Maybe Jan pushing Sander into using Jolanda like a boy, or goading Jolanda along those same lines, twisting the knife with all the baggage from his initial bogus seduction attempt. In general feel free to explore all the fucked-up angles of Jolanda and Sander's (otherwise very different) attraction to and reasons to hate Jan.

Jolanda's fear and bewilderment as she witnesses the weird sadomasochistic push and pull between Sander and Jan is really interesting to me as part of her POV — I also really love the way Jan canonically uses Sander's unstable mental state as a tool to control him, even if that backfires at least as often as it works. While they're playing out their deeply fucked-up and cruel emotional drama with her as the horrific unwilling playing-field, what's Jo seeing from her POV?

I'd especially love this with the version of Jan who comes back once the two of them have established a life together as ostensible father and daughter. If you want to give him some fucked-up body horror, go for it — maybe of the "came back wrong" uncanny living corpse variety or the somehow-an-eel-hybrid variety? (Regarding the whole pretend father-daughter angle, if you want to explore the extra horror of that faux incest factor, please do! Jan being like "come on, Jo, why don't you give your dear old dad a kiss"…)

Wrt the Forced To Blaspheme tag, feel free to explore the medieval Catholicism they're both familiar with or dial in specifically on Sander's semi-magical superstitions.

Fandom-specific DNWs/notes: I'd rather not read fic with Sander being genuinely attracted to Jolanda/to women in general, or aftermath focusing on Jolanda enduring an actual pregnancy/childbirth. (Threatened noncon breeding, discussion of potential pregnancy, miscarriage, or abortion are all fine; I prefer the angst and dread of pregnancy risk to actual completed pregnancy.)
