Trick Or Treat 2022 Exchange Letter
Hail and well met, Trick or Treat gang! It's the season for 12-foot skeletons, jack o' lanterns, and me tl;dr-ing about my canons.
Treat likes:
- domesticity scenes and material culture, even in less-than-domestic situations!
- mutual caretaking and h/c
- characters learning new skills or new things (about each other, their environment, their powers, etc.)
- monsters! werewolves, vampires, ghosts, revenants, mummies, etc.
- road trips
- trans characters in stories that aren’t centered on transphobia/outing/inner turmoil (even if they don’t “need” to be trans for the story to work, I love it, and maybe especially then)

Feel free to incorporate ships into any of the prompts below if the given possibilities strike you.

For this exchange, I don't want to receive explicit fic involving characters under 16, with fandom-specific exceptions noted.
The Black Phone
Finney Blake, Gwen Blake
Treat/Trick
- Postcanon fic where things are nominally “better” (their dad’s trying to clean up his act, Finney’s no longer being held captive in a basement) but they’re both still dealing with the slow burn aftermath of what happened — dealing with the court system, dealing with doctors, deflecting intrusive questions, facing stigma.
- Gwen and Finney dealing with the aftermath of being the victim of a high-profile crime — if you’ve ever craved writing in-universe pulpy 1980s true crime writing or any other in-universe documentation, now is your time, but part of me also hankers for adult Gwen cussing out some podcasters…
- An AU where the police aren’t as receptive to Gwen’s visions and she’s stuck trying to go it alone — these requests already blur the line between treat and trick, but I’m also open to a dark version of this where Finney remains captive for longer or never escapes. (The lighter version is Gwen somehow teaming up with Max to bust her brother loose.)
- Finney and Gwen dealing with continued paranormal phenomena even after Finney is freed — Maybe the ghost kids have stopped speaking to Finney but they still hang around with Gwen, or Finney starts dealing with fragments and visions relating to the Grabber. (Or Max. Max did nothing wrong!) Art-wise, I’d love any art of either sibling interacting with the basement kids, especially Finney/Robin interactions.
- General sibling scenes between the two of them, especially postcanon as they get older. Even before crime touches their lives, they’ve weathered a lot of trauma together and I’d love to see mutual support and love between them even as they’re griping about therapy bills and dealing with ambivalent feelings about their dad. For art, I’d love to see them as older teens/adults or echoes of the shots of them leaning on each other, especially with era-specific clothes or styling.
The Grabber
Treat/Trick
- Scenes from upstairs when Max comes into town — how does he act when he’s dealing with his brother? What’s their sibling dynamic like? On one level, the Grabber is the settled professional one and Max is the flaky younger sibling in need of protection, stuck couchsurfing with a bad drug habit, but he’s also the non-serial-killer of the family so he’s got that advantage. The two of them seem like they came from a fairly dysfunctional home growing up — what kind of trauma do they share and how far do they go to avoid talking about it? (If sibling incest is your bag, I also ship the two of them.)
- Alternate universe (or canon divergence, way back) where plain old Al Shaw hasn’t murdered or abused any children whatsoever but he’s still getting prank calls on the black phone from the dimension where he did. Or anything really where this dude is just a weird failed magician who loves wearing rings and buying steaks but is just out there decompensating and losing control of his life in other less violent ways.
- How the fuck did this guy get into magic? When the fuck did this guy get into magic? The mask itself is creepy as hell and evokes a bygone era of dubiously-consensual scares — how did he find it, or did it find him? If you do fanart, I’d love any art centering the mask or centering this guy’s bonkers costume changes.
- The Grabber as a vampire… or wannabe vampire, as in Martin or The Transfiguration. I love all flavors of vampire media but I’d be especially into gross, predatory, self-loathing flavors here.
- Anything exploring his relationship to Finney, or the relationship he thinks he has with Finney — to me the Grabber’s demeanor behind the mask suggests a queasy tension between whatever self-deluding part of him genuinely wants the children’s attention and company, that wants them to like him and maybe even like what he does to them, and the overtly sadistic side that’s chasing the high of terrorizing and destroying someone vulnerable, and that’s hugely grimly interesting to me. Does some part of him want Finney to stick around? (If you want to write something genuinely pitch-black, does he ever consider making Finney into an accomplice, or bait?)
- Bonus extremely nonserious prompt: “aged-up Finney” this, “aged-up Robin” that, won’t somebody have the guts to de-age the Grabber? The new kid in town has arrived straight out of the 1940s via some freak event and somebody has to figure out how to keep him from growing right up into a serial killer again. Art-wise, consider this carte blanche for any kind of snapshots from the Grabber’s past.
Fandom-specific DNW notes: dealing with the canon child abuse themes here is OK and in the clear, including sexual abuse/noncon or dubcon with the Grabber, but I’d rather not read straight-up regular smut between the kid characters.
Ship-wise, I love Finney/Robin and I’m down for pairing him or Gwen with any crossover characters or OMCs/OFCs. I’m also down for Grabber/Max and anything exploring the Grabber’s relationship (such as it is) with his prisoners.

The Lost Boys
David, Michael Emerson, Star
Treat
- BOARDWALK HIJINKS with David’s gang (ear piercings, dirtbike races, brawls and feuds, getting gussied up for a night out, dirtbaggy entertainment)
- dream sequences and weird visions — if you want to explore the trope of a psychic connection between vampires and their subordinates, I would love that, especially if it muddies the waters in the triangulation between David, Michael, and Star.
- OT3 fic, either above-board and agreed-upon or barely realized and repressed and weird, between David/Michael/Star
- Genderswapped Michael and/or David -- I've gotten some awesome all-girls fic about David's gang but I can't get enough of it. In general if you want to explore alternate character versions (historical AUs? Modern AUs? Genderswaps, racebends, trans!AUs?) in fic or art alike I would love that.
- Nocturnal road trips and nighttime rides — I love 80s horror so if you want to have them crossing paths with its denizens (the crew from Near Dark, my fav homoerotic maniac from The Hitcher, Peter Vincent from Fright Night just trying to take a damn beach vacation for once…) I would love that, or just plumb those pop-cultural vibes.
Trick
- Alternate-ending/bad ending fic where Max is triumphant and gets his own bloodsucking Brady Bunch -- what next? What happens if David mutinies, or if Michael and Star try to break off with Laddie in tow?
- Gow alien are the Lost Boys universe's vampires anyway? Anything exploring their powers and abilities, and what this passel of hapless teenagers are going to do with them, or how David and Star came to be vampires/quasi-vampires respectively. I’m a sucker for the trope of thorny vampire-progenitor relationships; how does David feel about Max?
- Exploring the earthquake-shattered abandoned hotel the vampires use as their lair — have it be haunted, have it be a playground for delinquent teenage vampire activity, have it be structurally unsound and all around uncanny. I’d also love some derelict hotel threesomes and creative uses of the repurposed vampire-den spaces for lovemaking in any combination of partners. (David’s other gang members can come too.)
- Spooky girl Star! I love her so much and would love anything where she’s just a bit uncanny too — psychic powers, occult curiosities, witchcraft, secret backstories.
- Hunting lessons — in an AU where Max isn’t defeated or where David becomes head vampire in Santa Carla in his own right, I’d love some dark and fucked-up stuff about him introducing Michael and Star to their new dietary lifestyle in a more hands-on way, or where he returns to the idea of making Star drink Michael’s blood to secure her place with him.
Ship-wise, I pair these in all combinations including threesomes or in a group sex context with the rest of David’s gang. Smut-wise, I love creative misuse of vampire powers (mind control, strength, flight…), cunnilingus, body worship, mutual masturbation, horny blood drinking, and hair-pulling.

MCU Moon Knight
Arthur Harrow
Treat
- Scenes from Harrow’s tenure as Khonshu’s avatar — his own account of his relationship to Khonshu is pretty colored by hindsight but I’d love a look at whatever that dynamic was like. How did he end up getting picked up by this particular moon god? What’s a typical night’s work for them and how dark did things get? What was the final straw?
- On the flipside, I’d love to see what Harrow’s devotion to Ammit looks like — why did she choose him, other than the obvious pleasure of stealing Khonshu’s assets and using them against him? How do the two of them relate? The look on his face when she rests her hand in his hair is so much — loyalty kink, platonic or erotic, would go great here.
- Dr. Harrow stuff! I’m inclined to see Dr. Harrow’s presence in Marc/Steven/Jake’s experiences of the hospital setting as either more-or-less benign or at the very least not as hostile as the real dude, and I’d love something where he gets to further interact with the Moon crew. I’d especially love something where he’s considerably more helpful as an imaginary therapist than actual!Harrow would be, or where he ends up undermining his RL counterpart’s efforts.
- Dramatic costume changes! If you’re inclined toward art at all, I’d love to see some looks at MK-era costuming, ceremonial attire, Harrow in his institutional clothes, Dr. Harrow outfits… and if you’re more into fic I would also love clothes-sharing, the first time he summons the suit in the MK era, or something about those damn sandals.
- Scenes from Harrow’s time institutionalized at the end of s1 — what’s it like sharing a consciousness with Ammit on a much more up-close and personal level? How scrambled is he really? (Feel free to tip this over into Trick territory too.)
Trick
- Avatar-of-Khonshu era Harrow vs. supernatural horror stuff! I love in the comics when Marc’s path crosses with various things that go bump in the night (werewolves! ghosts! zombies!) and I’d love to see what Arthur got up to during his own Moon Knight era, especially anything horror-flavored or dealing with that similar sense of eroded identity.
- Cult horror set within the cult of Ammit — whether the “horror” part is supernatural or otherwise.
- Super dysfunctional avatar-and-deity dynamics, either with Khonshu or Ammit. I ship both of them with Harrow like crazy, as well as with one another, and I’d love anything exploring that fucked-up exes-and-more triangulation too.
- More with Harrow manipulating the fuck out of Steven… or Marc… or Jake, if he can manage it. (Or Layla. I love Layla sfm, feel free to include her wherever you like.) I love his mix of genuinely high-minded goals and extreme readiness to fight dirty when it comes to targeting Steven’s vulnerability or undermining Marc’s credibility by going after his mental health.
- Ritual sex, darkfic edition! Pair him opposite anybody you like (Steven, Marc, Layla, any deity, any OCs you desire) and feel free to have him as the instigator (grudging? enthusiastic?) or the stoically resistant victim. In general, please feel free to whump Harrow, I have no idea why I love my faves suffering so much.
I ship Harrow with everybody — Steven, Marc, Layla, Jake if you can get him to stop trying to assassinate him long enough, Khonshu, Ammit, Mogart, and OFCs/OMCs/anyone else in the MCU you want to throw him in with.
Smut-wise, this guy pairs great with guilty sadism and guilty masochism; I am dying for fic where Harrow bottoms, both in the BDSM sense and in the anal sex sense. Cute Gen X Harrow of yore, silver fox cult daddy Harrow, whenever and for whomever. Anything that gets horny mileage out of his service to various deities, size kink, body worship, face slapping, bondage, the works.
Fandom-specific DNW waiver: Wrt my self-harm DNW, dealing with Arthur Harrow’s canonical self-mortification rituals in Moon Knight and depicting any other kind of destructive or penitential behaviors besides deliberate self—injurious cutting is fine.

- I read the epilogue in the Complete & Uncut Edition as, in Dark Tower terms, another turn of the wheel — Flagg being picked up and dumped in another iteration of his same essential journey but in a fundamentally different place and time. Where else might he get to?
- Missing scenes from Flagg’s nebulous backstory/backstories — do any of the assorted misfits, murderers, and radicals he influences catch on to the nature of his interference? What is it like to be in an organization Flagg is in the process of taking over, whether that’s a political cell taking a turn for the worse or something more informal?
- Literally any art of Flagg would thrill me but I’d especially love different 20th century iterations of Flagg slightly tweaked for differences of era. What might Flagg look like in a postwar middle-American scenario, or drifting through the Haight?
- Flagg wandering through another Stephen King property of your choice — feel free to incorporate Dark Tower characterizations or any other iteration of the character King has interpolated. My favorite King properties include Salem’s Lot, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, Carrie, The Shining, Christine, It (and its various adaptations), and the 11/22/63 TV series, but feel free to drop him down in any short story from Night Shift, Different Seasons, Skeleton Crew, Nightmares & Dreamscapes, Everything’s Eventual, Bazaar of Bad Dreams, or Full Dark No Stars.
- Art or fic with a female version of Flagg! I’d love it if fem!Flagg’s attire and general sense of style is still just about the same as the busted-cowboy-boots, faded-denim, pockets-full-of-hate-literature presence regular dude Flagg has in canon.

- Flagg sexually menacing the King hero/heroine of your choice. I love the juxtaposition between his supernatural, demon-lover qualities and the crass nastiness of him, cruel sense of humor and all.
- Fic/art set in Vegas with Flagg obtaining Larry as an amusement for Nadine while maintaining her technical virginity for himself. Can be as fraught, sexual, trauma-bonding-filled, mutually recriminatory, or gothic as desired.
- Art illustrating Flagg’s gradual ascension over Nadine, either symbolizing his insidious influence in her life as he seemingly calls her to him or representing their ultimate meeting. I love everything about Nadine and especially her pre-Captain Trips backstory, so feel free to have the focus be on her as much as Flagg.
- What would a Flagg-wins scenario for the novel look like? Besides, obviously… very very bad.
- Art/fic incorporating the Complete & Uncut Edition with Flagg finally meeting the Kid either in Las Vegas or in some other circumstance while the two of them are drifters pre-canon — how far could the Kid have gotten in his mutiny plans? What kind of inventive cruelty could they wreak on one another?
I ship Flagg with just about everybody under the sun — including but not limited to Lloyd, the Kid, Stu, Fran, Harold, Dayna, Sue, Nick Andros, Larry, Rita, Lucy, and especially Nadine. Smut-wise, I love Flagg being a joyfully crass and nasty coercive creep, all kinds of demon lover/monsterfucker action, misuse of magic mindfucks during sex, perversions of loyalty kink, and grimy drifter filth.

- Something where Billy escapes the Mind Flayer’s control but now he’s unlike his old self in a completely different way… in the Came Back Wrong kind of way.
- Billy’s ghost haunting Max, Eleven, Will, or anybody else! Regular classic ghost, some kind of residual impression, some shred of his consciousness that’s still hooked into the Mind Flayer-Vecna industrial complex… I’d especially love anything where he’s not happy about hanging around or where Vecna etc have effectively yanked him back from someplace he’d rather be.
- Non-supernatural darkfic dealing with Billy’s obsessive control over Max and the long shadow he has over her even once he’s dead — I’m down for the stepsibling incest/sexual obsession angle here as well but I’d prefer it not to have started when Max was <13.
- Billy’s noncon Mind Flayer takeover reminded me at times of Michael’s transformation in The Lost Boys (a fine 1980s horror parallel!) and now I want grody vampire nightmare Billy. Or werewolf Billy, tbh.
- dirtybadwrong Billy/anyone — especially adult/older teen characters (Steve, Jonathan, Nancy, Robin, his housewife admiration society at the pool, Joyce, Murray…), supernatural characters (the Mind Flayer, Vecna, his Mind Flayer doppelganger) or getting nonconned by various Soviets. I also love anything pairing him with Will, especially where internalized homophobia/closetedness comes into play or their mutual connections to the Upside-Down.
I ship Billy with fully everyone, both being tender and being terrible.
Eddie Munson
Trick
- I’m going to be honest, I loved this guy and I want to see him suffer. Emotionally, physically, sexually, psychically. Hurt-comfort scenarios (platonic ones with the whole gang, one-on-one comfort, romantic ones, some kind of giant comfort gangbang, etc.) are terrific too but I just love seeing this poor guy undergo agonies.
- Vampire Eddie! I’d love this in a dark, angsty, disconnected, came-back-wrong flavor or with a more comedic angle as he tries to navigate the “earthquake” aftermath and reconnect with his old friends.
- Eddie dealing with the clearly traumatic experience of seeing Chrissy’s death — something where supernatural forces exploit his guilt to fuck with his mind? Something where his memories of seeing it go down recur as nightmares or intrusive thoughts even as he spends time with his new allies? Feel free to go for h/c here too.
- Vecna tries to manipulate Eddie using the same kind of hyper-pessimistic, morbid rhetoric he expounds on to Eleven — either in a similar “we could rule together, haha psych, you’re my human meat puppet” kind of way or trying to use Eddie as his puppet for evildoing via suggestion and coercion. Eddie’s stuck doubting his own reality and terrified confessing “btw an extradimensional being is ordering me to kill kill kill, but trust me, it’s not Satan or psychosis or bad acid” will fuck up his life even more.
- Sad forlorn hustler Eddie, that is all. (Sad-but-mostly-pissed-off hustler Billy is also very welcome, or both of them as rivals haunting the same slim-pickings Indiana cruising spots.)
I ship Eddie with damn near everybody in any combination including trios and moresomes — Chrissy, Jonathan, Steve, Nancy, Dustin, Will, Vecna, the somehow persistent ghost of Billy — and I’m very multishippy with this whole fandom so go for it. Background pairings and outside POVs are just fine.
I waive my usual “16 or older” DNW for this fandom but I’d prefer nothing where the younger cohort of characters (Eleven, Mike, Lucas, etc.) are any younger than they are circa season 3. Post-s4 fic or anything set when they’re older is also just fine.

- Postcanon fic where things are nominally “better” (their dad’s trying to clean up his act, Finney’s no longer being held captive in a basement) but they’re both still dealing with the slow burn aftermath of what happened — dealing with the court system, dealing with doctors, deflecting intrusive questions, facing stigma.
- Gwen and Finney dealing with the aftermath of being the victim of a high-profile crime — if you’ve ever craved writing in-universe pulpy 1980s true crime writing or any other in-universe documentation, now is your time, but part of me also hankers for adult Gwen cussing out some podcasters…
- An AU where the police aren’t as receptive to Gwen’s visions and she’s stuck trying to go it alone — these requests already blur the line between treat and trick, but I’m also open to a dark version of this where Finney remains captive for longer or never escapes. (The lighter version is Gwen somehow teaming up with Max to bust her brother loose.)
- Finney and Gwen dealing with continued paranormal phenomena even after Finney is freed — Maybe the ghost kids have stopped speaking to Finney but they still hang around with Gwen, or Finney starts dealing with fragments and visions relating to the Grabber. (Or Max. Max did nothing wrong!) Art-wise, I’d love any art of either sibling interacting with the basement kids, especially Finney/Robin interactions.
- General sibling scenes between the two of them, especially postcanon as they get older. Even before crime touches their lives, they’ve weathered a lot of trauma together and I’d love to see mutual support and love between them even as they’re griping about therapy bills and dealing with ambivalent feelings about their dad. For art, I’d love to see them as older teens/adults or echoes of the shots of them leaning on each other, especially with era-specific clothes or styling.
The Grabber
Treat/Trick
- Scenes from upstairs when Max comes into town — how does he act when he’s dealing with his brother? What’s their sibling dynamic like? On one level, the Grabber is the settled professional one and Max is the flaky younger sibling in need of protection, stuck couchsurfing with a bad drug habit, but he’s also the non-serial-killer of the family so he’s got that advantage. The two of them seem like they came from a fairly dysfunctional home growing up — what kind of trauma do they share and how far do they go to avoid talking about it? (If sibling incest is your bag, I also ship the two of them.)
- Alternate universe (or canon divergence, way back) where plain old Al Shaw hasn’t murdered or abused any children whatsoever but he’s still getting prank calls on the black phone from the dimension where he did. Or anything really where this dude is just a weird failed magician who loves wearing rings and buying steaks but is just out there decompensating and losing control of his life in other less violent ways.
- How the fuck did this guy get into magic? When the fuck did this guy get into magic? The mask itself is creepy as hell and evokes a bygone era of dubiously-consensual scares — how did he find it, or did it find him? If you do fanart, I’d love any art centering the mask or centering this guy’s bonkers costume changes.
- The Grabber as a vampire… or wannabe vampire, as in Martin or The Transfiguration. I love all flavors of vampire media but I’d be especially into gross, predatory, self-loathing flavors here.
- Anything exploring his relationship to Finney, or the relationship he thinks he has with Finney — to me the Grabber’s demeanor behind the mask suggests a queasy tension between whatever self-deluding part of him genuinely wants the children’s attention and company, that wants them to like him and maybe even like what he does to them, and the overtly sadistic side that’s chasing the high of terrorizing and destroying someone vulnerable, and that’s hugely grimly interesting to me. Does some part of him want Finney to stick around? (If you want to write something genuinely pitch-black, does he ever consider making Finney into an accomplice, or bait?)
- Bonus extremely nonserious prompt: “aged-up Finney” this, “aged-up Robin” that, won’t somebody have the guts to de-age the Grabber? The new kid in town has arrived straight out of the 1940s via some freak event and somebody has to figure out how to keep him from growing right up into a serial killer again. Art-wise, consider this carte blanche for any kind of snapshots from the Grabber’s past.
Fandom-specific DNW notes: dealing with the canon child abuse themes here is OK and in the clear, including sexual abuse/noncon or dubcon with the Grabber, but I’d rather not read straight-up regular smut between the kid characters.
Ship-wise, I love Finney/Robin and I’m down for pairing him or Gwen with any crossover characters or OMCs/OFCs. I’m also down for Grabber/Max and anything exploring the Grabber’s relationship (such as it is) with his prisoners.

- dream sequences and weird visions — if you want to explore the trope of a psychic connection between vampires and their subordinates, I would love that, especially if it muddies the waters in the triangulation between David, Michael, and Star.
- OT3 fic, either above-board and agreed-upon or barely realized and repressed and weird, between David/Michael/Star
- Genderswapped Michael and/or David -- I've gotten some awesome all-girls fic about David's gang but I can't get enough of it. In general if you want to explore alternate character versions (historical AUs? Modern AUs? Genderswaps, racebends, trans!AUs?) in fic or art alike I would love that.
- Nocturnal road trips and nighttime rides — I love 80s horror so if you want to have them crossing paths with its denizens (the crew from Near Dark, my fav homoerotic maniac from The Hitcher, Peter Vincent from Fright Night just trying to take a damn beach vacation for once…) I would love that, or just plumb those pop-cultural vibes.

- Alternate-ending/bad ending fic where Max is triumphant and gets his own bloodsucking Brady Bunch -- what next? What happens if David mutinies, or if Michael and Star try to break off with Laddie in tow?
- Gow alien are the Lost Boys universe's vampires anyway? Anything exploring their powers and abilities, and what this passel of hapless teenagers are going to do with them, or how David and Star came to be vampires/quasi-vampires respectively. I’m a sucker for the trope of thorny vampire-progenitor relationships; how does David feel about Max?
- Exploring the earthquake-shattered abandoned hotel the vampires use as their lair — have it be haunted, have it be a playground for delinquent teenage vampire activity, have it be structurally unsound and all around uncanny. I’d also love some derelict hotel threesomes and creative uses of the repurposed vampire-den spaces for lovemaking in any combination of partners. (David’s other gang members can come too.)
- Spooky girl Star! I love her so much and would love anything where she’s just a bit uncanny too — psychic powers, occult curiosities, witchcraft, secret backstories.
- Hunting lessons — in an AU where Max isn’t defeated or where David becomes head vampire in Santa Carla in his own right, I’d love some dark and fucked-up stuff about him introducing Michael and Star to their new dietary lifestyle in a more hands-on way, or where he returns to the idea of making Star drink Michael’s blood to secure her place with him.
Ship-wise, I pair these in all combinations including threesomes or in a group sex context with the rest of David’s gang. Smut-wise, I love creative misuse of vampire powers (mind control, strength, flight…), cunnilingus, body worship, mutual masturbation, horny blood drinking, and hair-pulling.

- Scenes from Harrow’s tenure as Khonshu’s avatar — his own account of his relationship to Khonshu is pretty colored by hindsight but I’d love a look at whatever that dynamic was like. How did he end up getting picked up by this particular moon god? What’s a typical night’s work for them and how dark did things get? What was the final straw?
- On the flipside, I’d love to see what Harrow’s devotion to Ammit looks like — why did she choose him, other than the obvious pleasure of stealing Khonshu’s assets and using them against him? How do the two of them relate? The look on his face when she rests her hand in his hair is so much — loyalty kink, platonic or erotic, would go great here.
- Dr. Harrow stuff! I’m inclined to see Dr. Harrow’s presence in Marc/Steven/Jake’s experiences of the hospital setting as either more-or-less benign or at the very least not as hostile as the real dude, and I’d love something where he gets to further interact with the Moon crew. I’d especially love something where he’s considerably more helpful as an imaginary therapist than actual!Harrow would be, or where he ends up undermining his RL counterpart’s efforts.
- Dramatic costume changes! If you’re inclined toward art at all, I’d love to see some looks at MK-era costuming, ceremonial attire, Harrow in his institutional clothes, Dr. Harrow outfits… and if you’re more into fic I would also love clothes-sharing, the first time he summons the suit in the MK era, or something about those damn sandals.
- Scenes from Harrow’s time institutionalized at the end of s1 — what’s it like sharing a consciousness with Ammit on a much more up-close and personal level? How scrambled is he really? (Feel free to tip this over into Trick territory too.)
Trick
- Avatar-of-Khonshu era Harrow vs. supernatural horror stuff! I love in the comics when Marc’s path crosses with various things that go bump in the night (werewolves! ghosts! zombies!) and I’d love to see what Arthur got up to during his own Moon Knight era, especially anything horror-flavored or dealing with that similar sense of eroded identity.
- Cult horror set within the cult of Ammit — whether the “horror” part is supernatural or otherwise.
- Super dysfunctional avatar-and-deity dynamics, either with Khonshu or Ammit. I ship both of them with Harrow like crazy, as well as with one another, and I’d love anything exploring that fucked-up exes-and-more triangulation too.
- More with Harrow manipulating the fuck out of Steven… or Marc… or Jake, if he can manage it. (Or Layla. I love Layla sfm, feel free to include her wherever you like.) I love his mix of genuinely high-minded goals and extreme readiness to fight dirty when it comes to targeting Steven’s vulnerability or undermining Marc’s credibility by going after his mental health.
- Ritual sex, darkfic edition! Pair him opposite anybody you like (Steven, Marc, Layla, any deity, any OCs you desire) and feel free to have him as the instigator (grudging? enthusiastic?) or the stoically resistant victim. In general, please feel free to whump Harrow, I have no idea why I love my faves suffering so much.
I ship Harrow with everybody — Steven, Marc, Layla, Jake if you can get him to stop trying to assassinate him long enough, Khonshu, Ammit, Mogart, and OFCs/OMCs/anyone else in the MCU you want to throw him in with.
Smut-wise, this guy pairs great with guilty sadism and guilty masochism; I am dying for fic where Harrow bottoms, both in the BDSM sense and in the anal sex sense. Cute Gen X Harrow of yore, silver fox cult daddy Harrow, whenever and for whomever. Anything that gets horny mileage out of his service to various deities, size kink, body worship, face slapping, bondage, the works.
Fandom-specific DNW waiver: Wrt my self-harm DNW, dealing with Arthur Harrow’s canonical self-mortification rituals in Moon Knight and depicting any other kind of destructive or penitential behaviors besides deliberate self—injurious cutting is fine.

- I read the epilogue in the Complete & Uncut Edition as, in Dark Tower terms, another turn of the wheel — Flagg being picked up and dumped in another iteration of his same essential journey but in a fundamentally different place and time. Where else might he get to?
- Missing scenes from Flagg’s nebulous backstory/backstories — do any of the assorted misfits, murderers, and radicals he influences catch on to the nature of his interference? What is it like to be in an organization Flagg is in the process of taking over, whether that’s a political cell taking a turn for the worse or something more informal?
- Literally any art of Flagg would thrill me but I’d especially love different 20th century iterations of Flagg slightly tweaked for differences of era. What might Flagg look like in a postwar middle-American scenario, or drifting through the Haight?
- Flagg wandering through another Stephen King property of your choice — feel free to incorporate Dark Tower characterizations or any other iteration of the character King has interpolated. My favorite King properties include Salem’s Lot, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, Carrie, The Shining, Christine, It (and its various adaptations), and the 11/22/63 TV series, but feel free to drop him down in any short story from Night Shift, Different Seasons, Skeleton Crew, Nightmares & Dreamscapes, Everything’s Eventual, Bazaar of Bad Dreams, or Full Dark No Stars.
- Art or fic with a female version of Flagg! I’d love it if fem!Flagg’s attire and general sense of style is still just about the same as the busted-cowboy-boots, faded-denim, pockets-full-of-hate-literature presence regular dude Flagg has in canon.

- Flagg sexually menacing the King hero/heroine of your choice. I love the juxtaposition between his supernatural, demon-lover qualities and the crass nastiness of him, cruel sense of humor and all.
- Fic/art set in Vegas with Flagg obtaining Larry as an amusement for Nadine while maintaining her technical virginity for himself. Can be as fraught, sexual, trauma-bonding-filled, mutually recriminatory, or gothic as desired.
- Art illustrating Flagg’s gradual ascension over Nadine, either symbolizing his insidious influence in her life as he seemingly calls her to him or representing their ultimate meeting. I love everything about Nadine and especially her pre-Captain Trips backstory, so feel free to have the focus be on her as much as Flagg.
- What would a Flagg-wins scenario for the novel look like? Besides, obviously… very very bad.
- Art/fic incorporating the Complete & Uncut Edition with Flagg finally meeting the Kid either in Las Vegas or in some other circumstance while the two of them are drifters pre-canon — how far could the Kid have gotten in his mutiny plans? What kind of inventive cruelty could they wreak on one another?
I ship Flagg with just about everybody under the sun — including but not limited to Lloyd, the Kid, Stu, Fran, Harold, Dayna, Sue, Nick Andros, Larry, Rita, Lucy, and especially Nadine. Smut-wise, I love Flagg being a joyfully crass and nasty coercive creep, all kinds of demon lover/monsterfucker action, misuse of magic mindfucks during sex, perversions of loyalty kink, and grimy drifter filth.

- Something where Billy escapes the Mind Flayer’s control but now he’s unlike his old self in a completely different way… in the Came Back Wrong kind of way.
- Billy’s ghost haunting Max, Eleven, Will, or anybody else! Regular classic ghost, some kind of residual impression, some shred of his consciousness that’s still hooked into the Mind Flayer-Vecna industrial complex… I’d especially love anything where he’s not happy about hanging around or where Vecna etc have effectively yanked him back from someplace he’d rather be.
- Non-supernatural darkfic dealing with Billy’s obsessive control over Max and the long shadow he has over her even once he’s dead — I’m down for the stepsibling incest/sexual obsession angle here as well but I’d prefer it not to have started when Max was <13.
- Billy’s noncon Mind Flayer takeover reminded me at times of Michael’s transformation in The Lost Boys (a fine 1980s horror parallel!) and now I want grody vampire nightmare Billy. Or werewolf Billy, tbh.
- dirtybadwrong Billy/anyone — especially adult/older teen characters (Steve, Jonathan, Nancy, Robin, his housewife admiration society at the pool, Joyce, Murray…), supernatural characters (the Mind Flayer, Vecna, his Mind Flayer doppelganger) or getting nonconned by various Soviets. I also love anything pairing him with Will, especially where internalized homophobia/closetedness comes into play or their mutual connections to the Upside-Down.
I ship Billy with fully everyone, both being tender and being terrible.
Eddie Munson
Trick
- I’m going to be honest, I loved this guy and I want to see him suffer. Emotionally, physically, sexually, psychically. Hurt-comfort scenarios (platonic ones with the whole gang, one-on-one comfort, romantic ones, some kind of giant comfort gangbang, etc.) are terrific too but I just love seeing this poor guy undergo agonies.
- Vampire Eddie! I’d love this in a dark, angsty, disconnected, came-back-wrong flavor or with a more comedic angle as he tries to navigate the “earthquake” aftermath and reconnect with his old friends.
- Eddie dealing with the clearly traumatic experience of seeing Chrissy’s death — something where supernatural forces exploit his guilt to fuck with his mind? Something where his memories of seeing it go down recur as nightmares or intrusive thoughts even as he spends time with his new allies? Feel free to go for h/c here too.
- Vecna tries to manipulate Eddie using the same kind of hyper-pessimistic, morbid rhetoric he expounds on to Eleven — either in a similar “we could rule together, haha psych, you’re my human meat puppet” kind of way or trying to use Eddie as his puppet for evildoing via suggestion and coercion. Eddie’s stuck doubting his own reality and terrified confessing “btw an extradimensional being is ordering me to kill kill kill, but trust me, it’s not Satan or psychosis or bad acid” will fuck up his life even more.
- Sad forlorn hustler Eddie, that is all. (Sad-but-mostly-pissed-off hustler Billy is also very welcome, or both of them as rivals haunting the same slim-pickings Indiana cruising spots.)
I ship Eddie with damn near everybody in any combination including trios and moresomes — Chrissy, Jonathan, Steve, Nancy, Dustin, Will, Vecna, the somehow persistent ghost of Billy — and I’m very multishippy with this whole fandom so go for it. Background pairings and outside POVs are just fine.
I waive my usual “16 or older” DNW for this fandom but I’d prefer nothing where the younger cohort of characters (Eleven, Mike, Lucas, etc.) are any younger than they are circa season 3. Post-s4 fic or anything set when they’re older is also just fine.
